Earlier this year, when Bush came to town to raise money for McConnell, the senator said he planned to suspend active fundraising in Kentucky until after this year's gubernatorial election. His chief of staff, Billy Piper, said that's still the plan. McConnell won't hold fundraising events in the state but will continue to solicit money by mail.Why? Because McConnell apparently thinks he's vulnerable:
