Club For Growth Shifting Anti-Giuliani Funds To Kentucky?
Reports are circulating that former Congressman Pat Toomey has been extremely enthusiastic about Larry Forgy's chances in recent weeks, and is now raising money for the Club for Growth's 2008 efforts. While the Club for Growth was set to get involved in the Republican presidential primaries, a recent lobbying effort by Steve Forbes on Rudy Giuliani's behalf may have appeased some of their concerns. However, that means good news to Kentucky's conservatives as the Club will have more funds to spend in going after the Louisville liberal McConnell and bringing Larry Forgy, a true conservative, to the U.S. Senate.
