As for congressional races, the Club has suggested it would like to dabble in some GOP Senate primaries if opportunities present themselves.
It issued a poll last week showing Stevens losing handily to Gov. Sarah Palin (R) and this week criticized Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-Ky.) votes for the Democrats’ appropriations bills.
Stevens does not have a major potential primary challenger at this point, while some Kentucky GOP activists are trying to recruit former gubernatorial nominee Larry Forgy (R) to challenge McConnell.

"Club for Growth sees wealth of opportunities in 2008 cycle"
Mitch McConnell better start making calls to his fat cat lobbyists and I'm not talking about dialing for campaign cash. Mitch McConnell better start calling for a new job. Once Pat Toomey and the crew at Club for Growth see the Forgy/Fletcher field plan, there will be more than enough funds coming in to expose the Louisville liberal McConnell and his fake conservative masquerades. The Club for Growth made it clear in their press release this week that McConnell is willing to spend government handouts faster than Steve Beshear at a Vegas roulette table. Now another story in The Hill reports the Club for Growth is poised to send McConnell packing:
